Little Zoe looking for mum

Teaching steps:

Step 1: Talk freely

 1.Hello, boys and girls. Do you like animals?

  What animals do you like?(师找两三学生问答,然后让学生和他的朋友们在20秒的时间内不间断地说说自己喜欢什么动物。)

2.Where can you see many kinds of animals?引出In the zoo.

Lets go to the zoo to see animals ,OK?

3.But some animals hide themselves, Lets find them out,OK?

在猜动物的过程中初步接触企鹅,乌龟,斑马的英文,并在最后出示It has four legs. It has a short tail. It has long ears. It has red eyes.这四个后面课文里出现的特征,学生猜是兔子,出示Zoe难过的图片,介绍Zoe,问生:Is Zoe happy? Whats the matter with Zoe?引导生问:Hello Zoe, Whats the matter with you?出示几幅小动物和妈妈在一起的图,引导生说她找不到妈妈了。学习She is lonely(孤单的). She wants to find her mum.

Step 2: Learn the story

1. 猜一猜,Zoe接下来会做什么?引导生各种猜测后

显示One day, She gets away (离开) from the zoo.

2. Learn Scene One(P4-13)

a: Watch and answer(P6-13)

  Q: Can Zoe find her mum?

  Q: Who does she meet?

引导生答出四种小动物后

Teacher leads students to learn penguin, tortoise and zebra.

b: Let’s learn and find

Learn P6-P13,根据图片提示分别说出为什么他们不是Zoe的妈妈。

c:Zoe与这四个动物的问和答总结,让学生模仿语气对话。

d:拓展:If  Zoe meets a bird/a fish/a tiger,她们之间会有怎样的对话呢?

e: Listen to a song about Zoe

3. Learn Scene Two(P 14-23)

a: Discuss the background(P14-15)

  Q: How does Zoe feel?

  Q: Who is coming?

  Q: What will they say?

b: Imagine and say(P16-17)

  Students imagine If you are the bear, will you go away, or give Zoe some help? 引导生发挥回答, then learn P16-17 and act.

  Q: What does the bear do to help Zoe?

学习 16,17

c:这只熊是Zoe的妈妈吗? 可是Zoe却想叫她妈妈,为什么?引导生回答,引出18页内容。

出示19页图,他们要去哪里呢?引导生答:go home

d:在熊妈妈的家,熊妈妈为Zoe做了什么?

自读19.20页,回答

e: 跟录音读14-20

f:  From that day on,故事结束了吗?引出Zoe and her bear mum

help other lonely animals.出示22页图,出23页内容。

g: Make a conclusion(P21-23)

  Q: Is Zoe happy? Why?

Step3: Lets read

Zoe is happy now, and Im happy too. Now lets have the reading time:3人或6人一小组,选择找到熊妈妈前4-13页或找到熊妈妈后14-23页场景分角色朗读 

Step4:Consolidion

1.Lets conclude: Zoe希望熊当她的妈妈,是因为熊妈妈?

2.Lets think: Do you love this story? Do you love bear mum? Do you love Zoe? Why?

3.情感延伸Let's give love to each other.

The world will be warm and beautiful.

Step5.Homework:

1.Share the story with your parents.

2.Act the  story with your friends.
